Watch 'The Ghost Gets Around' - the story of the Dum Dums!

Postby James » Tue Aug 25, 2009 9:39 am

Stu has worked very hard on this movie for a number of years now and it has been a real labour of love for him.

Speaking personally, 'The Ghost Gets Around' sums up an amazing few years for me and my friends perfectly, it tells the story of the band from day one, right up until the end. And hopefully you'll feel the same when watching it.

Head over to http://dumdums.com/movie to read an important message from Stu and to watch the movie online.

hehe, I skillfully avoided the camera, me and graham were pretty much right behind the camera in front of josh...

as for the film, really good to watch...almost brought a tear to my eye at the end, and that doesn't happen very often!
I have no fucking clue what to put here now...

Loved it  Thanks for making it Stu, and thanks for letting us see it :)

So far spotted a tiny Anna, maybe Kelly and Chloe (front row?), Vick...

(Loved seeing Josh run around Shibuya, as an aside)

As well as Anna, Kelly and Chloe I spotted a very young and excited me!

That made me laugh, cry and feel very... I don't know, I don't know how I feel. During part 4 my heart was pounding, my stomach churned and I had tears in my eyes.

Thanks so much. I loved it!

That was lovely and sad in equal measure. Lovely because it brought back all the memories of how brilliant they were (and the fact that none of us would know each other without them!), but sad because it's also a reminder of how much potential they had to go further. The second album demos were amazing. I wish they'd lasted longer and one of my only regrets is not seeing them live. Damn all my friends being into Westlife at the time and being too young to go alone. :(

I also giggled when Josh started talking about elitism.

god, it's so weird how little I remember of the gig itself at greenbelt. I just have little flashes of memories of the surrounding time. most of which are horrifically embarrassing so I try not to.

I'm glad those who have watched this enjoyed it - it brought back a lot of good memories watching it with Josh, Steve & Stu after Josh's Birmingham gig.

If you're able to donate a fiver or whatever to the charity Stu mentioned, that would be swell.
