i'd be there, clearly. preferences obviously lie in the south or the midlands as it's hard travelling huge distances with work and such and such. [/minority]

Nottingham or Brum sounds good for me. When we were in Nottinham Beth/Helen talked of venues that seemed to be free or cheap cos Beth was looking for her birthday.

it seems like people can't be bothered as much anymore. cos the birmingham meetup was where it was at, and that's it. like.

i saw people more when i was living in california than since moving here

i miss old times :(

i've still not been to a meetup and keep saying 'i'll go to the next one'. if there was a southern one, i'd definitely try and make it depending on when/work and such, but if it involves having to stay over somewhere there's no way i'd be able to. i really wanna meet people :(

It seems that the general feeling then, is that it's south or nowt.

I would be able to make the south at a push, but then, I wouldn't be able to help organise it at all really, so someone else would have to take the reins.

I was crap at the Birmingham one coz I was just scared of everyone knowing each other and stuff. I would probably try and get to one if it wasn't too far but I just don't have money to travel at the moment :(

Birmingham again? That venue was great..

Easy to get to/central-ish. Would save having to start from scratch organising & finding somewhere new?

Personally I dont see why it should be south. I dont know if people consider Birmingham or Nottingham to be south but they seem good venues. or Loughborogh? I would be happy to travel North (manchester, etc..) to see my friends. Obveously I'd prefer it nearer to me but that doesnt mean I wouldnt travel to somewhere else if it was decided to be held somewhere.

Basically I think the meetups should be attended by as many people who want to go as possible.

The amount of people who attend a south meetup will heavily outnumber those who can make a northern one. Therefore, although it's not a really fair way of pleasing everyone, there's a majority vote for the south.

personally, i think Birmingham would be good again-the venue was great, cheap hotels, and all the trains/buses in the world go there. However, as i've said to Stu before, i don't mind organising a venue in Nottingham...just give me an approximate date!

birmingham is the only way to appease the largest number of people. everyone can get there via some train or other, there are lots of places to stay and more than just a couple of places there where we could stage something. my vote would go in the hat for there. if there was a hat.

i think we're all missing the galringly obvious option of the clarkesville loughbourgh gig, but i guess it's too late notice now and they wouldn't be any real mcfly opportunity, and it's a thursday which is bad for most people i guess.
