Clarkesville

Postby James » Mon Jul 21, 2003 12:58 am

Clarkesville is Michael Clarke, younger brother of Steve Clarke a very very very talented young man.

Clarkesville's debut album 'The Half Chapter' is out today (Mon 21st) - check it out, it's amazing (this is coming from his impressed cousin!)

Also see Clarkesville supporting Rooney on tour July 24th-29th.

I went out and bought it this morning. HMV have it for £9.99 which is good when you forget all your money and then find a tenner in your pocket.

Its rather stunning :D

I went out to buy it this morning. It's the first album I've bought on its day of release for months, and I only did that because I knew it was going to be good. I'd heard clips and a few tracks around the place - enough to know I liked them, but not enough to really know what I thought.

All I can say is that I think it's probably the best new album I've bought all year. Something about the quality of Mike's voice in 'Everyone Will Have Their Day' really reminds me of Bob Dylan, I'm not sure where that came from though...and the end of EWHTD also made my morning! It's a brilliant album...James, I nearly texted you to compliment you on your talented family :p

So yeah, that's my two cents.
Gimme your Pile and gimme your tail.

I live in New York, and I was thinking about the lagoon in Central Park, down near Central Park South. I was wondering if it would be frozen over when I got home, and if it was, where did the ducks go. I was wondering where the ducks went when the lagoon got all icy and frozen over. I wondered if some guy came in a truck and took them away to a zoo or something. Or if they just flew away.

Xfm have played the single (?), and were pretty nice about Mike too the other day. He was always the one that everyone thought was very goodlooking, if I remember rightly. heheheheh

Clarkesville has recorded a live session for XFM last week - will be broadcast in the next few weeks. XFM are nice, they b-listed the single.

i find its best to download one or two songs before buying an album because that way you know you will like it and you won't be dissapointed.

I would like to make the announcement that I'm a COMPLETE spaz!

I was looking at some of the photos on the website cos from what I remember of Mike he looked pretty much identical to Steve. I looked at one photo and went 'WOW! They really do still look similar'. Then realised it was actually a photo of Steve. DOH!!

But they do look quite similar. Although not as much as they did 3 years ago!!!
